ChooseESC! at the Autosalon in Bratislava

On 15 April 2008, the two Slovakian Automobile Clubs SATC and SAMŠ presented the ChooseESC! Campaign at the opening day of the Autosalon in Bratislava.

The info stand, which was organised with support of SATC’s Czech partner club ACA1213, was also visited by the President of the Slovak Republic, Ivan Gašparovič, and the Slovakian Minister of Transport, Ľubomír Vážny. In a short briefing, Dušan Koblíšek, President of SAMŠ, informed the two key decision makers about the ESC technology and the ChooseESC! campaign.

In a powerful statement, SATC President Peter Pokorný said: „The SATC will strongly support the ChooseESC! campaign in Slovakia, and will try to push on car importers to sell also the cheaper models with ESC equipped. This is especially in Eastern Europe a problem and we receive many comments from our members with the same question: Why is a model of a car sold e.g. in Germany equipped with the ESC technology, and the same model sold in Slovakia is not? We should use this presentation and the whole Choose ESC! campaign to increase the awareness of ESC to all consumers in Slovakia. People should know what can save their lives...“
